Western Red Cedar is popular because its attractive, durable and naturally resistant to rot, decay and insect attacks which means its often used in outdoor applications
Standard & Better grade lumber is more widely used than other grades for general construction purposes; used for subfloors, roof and wall sheathing, concrete forms and similar types of construction; this grade may also include grades Better than Standard
The wood dried at during as part of the manufacturing process and is less likely to warp or check after installation
Traditional shiplap has a rabbet (or groove) cut into the top and bottom, which allows the pieces to fit together snugly, forming a tight seal
