Description
2 x 6 x 104-5/8, Hem-Fir, No. 2 & Better, Kiln Dried, Surfaced on 4 Sides
Hem-Fir is a species combination of Western Hemlock and the true firs (Noble, California Red, Grand, Pacific Silver and White Fir); with strength properties slightly below Douglas Fir-Larch, this is an extremely versatile species group and useful for multiple, general-purpose framing applications
No. 2 & Better grade lumber is used in all general construction; this grade is designed for the many uses where higher strength properties are not needed and where serviceability is important; few defects are permitted and knots of any quality are allowed as long as they are well spaced and do not exceed size regulations; this grade may also include grades “Better” than No. 2
Kiln dried – moisture content of 19% or less
The board has been surfaced smooth on all 4 sides
