Description
2 x 6 x 32, Fir-Larch, Finger Joint, Dry, Surfaced on 4 Sides
The Douglas Fir/Western Larch species combination has the highest modulus of elasticity (MOE or E) value (the stiffness factor) of all North American softwoods; in strength properties, Fir-Larch has the highest ratings of any Western softwood for fiber stress in bending, tension parallel to grain, horizontal shear, compression perpendicular and compression parallel to grain
Finger jointing results in much quality and strong pieces and components, while dramatically reducing waste in production — the benefits are straightness and dimensional stability
The wood dried at during as part of the manufacturing process and is less likely to warp or check after installation
The board has been surfaced smooth on all 4 sides
