Western Red Cedar is popular because its attractive, durable and naturally resistant to rot, decay and insect attacks which means its often used in outdoor applications
No. 2 & Better grade lumber is used in all general construction; this grade is designed for the many uses where higher strength properties are not needed and where serviceability is important; few defects are permitted and knots of any quality are allowed as long as they are well spaced and do not exceed size regulations; this grade may also include grades Better than No. 2
The wood dried at during as part of the manufacturing process and is less likely to warp or check after installation
The board has been resawn with a sawn texture on 1 side and 2 edges from the initial sawmill rough cut; intended for exposed applications
