This plywood has an A grade on the front and a 4 grade on the back; an A grade means the surface is matched across the panel for both grain and color, permit a maximum of ten pin knots or small burls, will not permit sound knots, repaired knots or rough cut veneer; a 4 grade is generally referred to as a reject back; it is meant to be used in concealed areas where appearance is of no concern
