Description
Oriented Strand Board (OSB), 15/32 in x 4 ft x 8 ft – Southern Pine, Fire Treated
Southern Pine lumber has been popular since Colonial times and consists of four main species: longleaf, loblolly, shortleaf and slash; design values for Southern Pine are comparable to other softwood species used in residential and commercial construction
Sheathing-grade OSB is intended for subflooring, wall sheathing and roof sheathing
OSB is a type of engineered wood similar to particle board, formed by adding adhesives and then compressing layers of wood strands (flakes) in specific orientations; favorable mechanical properties make it particularly suitable for load-bearing applications in construction
Wood sheet treated with fire retardant protects from both flame-spread and smoke development
